May 3rd to May 31st 2018
The competition kicks off on May 3rd and ends on May 31st. The competition environment will run on the Rinkeby testnet, where users will have the ability to interact with and become familiar with Kauri using test Ether, with the opportunity to win prizes. All content submitted during the Rinkeby test phase will persist when the network goes live on the Ethereum mainnet!
Participants in the Kauri content competition will receive prizes, at the end of the competition, for the following (in addition to sponsor prizes!):
- Best overall contribution — $2,500 ETH equivalent
- Most prolific (most accepted articles) — $1,500 ETH equivalent
- Most curious (most requests made that are answered) — $1,000 ETH equivalent
- Kauri T-shirts for quality articles! (selected by the kauri team)
- Celebration — featured on ConsenSys channels
On the Kauri network, participants can search for tutorials, examples, documentation on libraries, developer tools, blockchain clients, application protocols, and any other topic of interest! We believe that Kauri’s project participants will make available an eclectic and helpful mix of publicly available knowledge materials, though it is just a small sample. Participants are free to get creative, and even introduce their own content!
If participants do not find the particular content they are looking for, then they are encouraged to make a request for that content to the greater network!
By making requests, we expect to see knowledge gaps bubble to the surface and become more apparent. We also expect to see how the network performs in a higher traffic and more unpredictable environment.
